APTP First Responders Guide

The Anti Police-Terror Project (APTP) is a group of concerned organizations and individuals committed to ending state-sanctioned (government) murder of Black, Brown and poor People. We are led by the most impacted communities but are a multi-racial, multi-generational coalition. APTP is the First Responders team of APTP who support families impacted by various forms of police terror. APTP document abuses by police throughout the Bay Area. After an incident of state terror, APTP connect impacted families and community members with resources and legal referrals.

APTP is organized to respond to police murders and incidents of excessive force because we believe in the need to defend ourselves and our communities from violence. To that end, APTP is building a replicable, sustainable model for rapidly responding to - and eradicating - police terror in communities of color.

Demonstrations are good; demonstrations are necessary, but they are not enough. Our communities must be organized, and by organizing amongst ourselves and creating a network, we do not allow the state (government) to set the terms of our resistance.
